Archie to Marry Veronica?

I don't get it, WHY is this news? On every single news website, and TV news. Its on. I DON'T understand. I get that after 70 years this FICTIONAL character has made a choice. But I mean come on. And its also the fact that Im a Betty fan I think that I don't really like the news.
On another note, I'm re watching 90210 the original series, it makes me laugh how many stars have been in this show, and how they begin at such a young age.
In the past month Ive seen 3 movies:
Wolverine - Ok
Star Trek - Fantastic for what it was
Terminator - I liked it for a movie, not part of the series.
I got a promotion for lack of a better term at work. ... . but I will update on that later.

This is a quick update for now.....I promise for a real one soon.

Road Trip Music

Anyone have any favorites?
Ideas?
Websites that they go to?
All I seem to be finding are play lists that have to to with cars...I.E. Highway to Hell and that sort.

Recipe number 1, Garlic Rice Pilaf

Recipe number 1, Garlic Rice Pilaf

1 cup of long grain brown rice
2 cups of water
2 tablespoons of oil *your choice but I use Olive Oil
1 heaping tablespoon of minced garlic
1 cup of minced veggies (peppers, celery, onion, carrot, anything that you want, I used the frozen spaghetti veggies.)
1 tablespoon of white wine.
1 tablespoon of parsley
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Make the rice by following the instructions on the box, I use a tablespoon of oil instead of butter.
In a saute pan saute the garlic first, use the remaining oil UNLESS using pre-cut packed in oil minced garlic.
When slightly browned add the parsley and saute.
Add the Saute the veggies with the garlic until soft, add your salt and pepper to taste.
Right before adding it to the rice add the tablespoon of white wine. Scraping all the brown bits off the pan and getting all the flavor from the pan.
Once the rice is cooked and almost all the water is gone add the veggies to the pot and stir.
Let it sit for another couple of minutes to get rid of the last remaining bit of water.
For pizazz when serving place some fresh parsley on top.

Sitting on the Moon

Ok I lied; this post will not be about the Endyium CD release party. I decided to tell you why I called this sitting on the moon.

My OAC year of high school back in 1999 (EEK) I had this dream; it was one of the most vivid dreams that I had ever had. I had died, and I was looking out for my friends on earth. *yes it was quite like Lovely Bones....don't get me started, I’ll explain this later* So I decided to write it out one day after telling a couple of people the story of my dream. Megan, Pam and Jeff practically forced me to sit down at a computer and type it out.
The original draft was 30 pages long, and even to me now that appears like a lot. I handed it in to my writers craft teacher Mr. Wheeler, and asked him to look it over when he got a chance. Less than a week later, he hands it back to me, with a lot of grammar corrections, spelling mistakes; basically a lot of red, but tells me that, there is a lot of potential there. To keep on writing, and see what comes of it.

Well ten years later, I have not gotten much further than that 30 pages, I do believe the draft that I'm working on at the moment is only 72. With revisions of the story coming out my wazoo, and so many different people coming in and out of my life that I have either taken them out or added people the story is just not what it used to be. I don’t even think that I have a copy of the original 30 page draft. But I still remember the story like it was yesterday.

As you can guess it is called Sitting on the Moon, unlike Lovely Bones *which I have yet to read, and really want to by the way* the main character is killed in a car crash/hit and run. Now this title has meant the world to me ever since. I have a tattoo of the “book cover” on my left shoulder. My mom, bless her, gets me something with either the moon and the stars, and at least one thing sitting on the moon every year for Christmas. My signature when I'm signing cards to those I love a lot will even receive ‘love always and forever sitting on top of the moon together’ (which I cannot take credit for...that was Meghan.) Sitting on the Moon has meant a lot to me my entire life, and so making the title of this blog, the same just seemed appropriate to me somehow.

Number 1

So Ive begun a blog. It was an eventual progression for me I think. For anyone reading, and wondering what this blog is going to be about. Well I have yet to figure that one out just yet. I know that I want to post some of my photography, recipes, and who knows what else.

This photo was taken this past winter, while on a photo excursion with a couple of friends.
My next post will be about the Endyium CD release party, and the pictures Sarah and I took there.

Its now Summer, after my first year of College. I'm waiting for my GM to call me to tell me I can come back to work. I think it might be a long long wait.
So far I believe that I did just as well this semester, as I did last, at least I really hope I did that well.

So far this summer, August is going to be one HELL of a month.
Erin's Birthday
My Birthday
Fan Expo/Rue Morgue
Aerosmith!!!
Dan and Amanda's wedding (some time in September)

The summer is going to be interesting, that is for sure.
